At Mountain Valley, what we do is personal. Personal for those we serve and personal for us. Every day we stand shoulder to shoulder with individuals facing the most daunting challenge they will ever face – a serious, or even a terminal, illness. We help those with advanced illness cope with their day-to-day struggles, whether physical, emotional, social or spiritual. We also aspire to help our communities better understand end-of-life care. Mountain Valley has an opening for a Registered Nurse in the Mt Airyservice area to respond to patient calls that are received after business hours. Our week-day and weekend on-call RN’s provides prompt 24-hour nursing support for hospice patients from Monday at 5pm through Friday at 8am and Friday at 4 through Monday at 8. Support may be in the form of telephone triage or face-to-face visits depending on the needs of the patient and family. While you are not performing your nursing tasks you could be doing things like watching movies at home, finishing household chores, or finding things to do around town.
