An Excellent Opportunity
Mountain Valley has an opening for a Registered Nurse in the Mt Airyservice area to respond to patient calls that are received after business hours. Our week-day and weekend on-call RN’s provides prompt 24-hour nursing support for hospice patients from Monday at 5pm through Friday at 8am and Friday at 4 through Monday at 8. Support may be in the form of telephone triage or face-to-face visits depending on the needs of the patient and family. While you are not performing your nursing tasks you could be doing things like watching movies at home, finishing household chores, or finding things to do around town.
Duties
Responds to calls from patients, families, caregivers
Provide direct nursing and supportive care for the terminally ill patient
Perform late day admissions and tuck-in visits.
Recognize, report, and document changes in patient/client condition
Schedule
Weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Qualifications
Valid Registered Nurse License
BLS Certification
Valid Driver’s License
Vaccination for COVID-19 & annual flu vaccination are conditions of employment unless an employee qualifies for a medical or religious exemption.
