Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to individuals in an assisted living facility
- Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and protocols
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with autism in their daily routines and social interactions
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being and safety
- Lift and transfer individuals using proper techniques and assistive devices
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Collaborate with social workers and healthcare professionals to develop care plans
Skills:
- Nurse: Possess a nursing background or relevant healthcare experience
- HIPAA: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Medication Administration: Proficient in administering medications accurately and safely
- Working with People with Autism: Experience or training in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder
- Resident Rights: Familiarity with the rights of residents in assisted living facilities
- Lift Techniques: Ability to safely lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment
- Social Work: Understanding of social work principles and ability to provide emotional support to individuals
- Assisted Living: Knowledge of the unique needs and challenges of individuals in assisted living settings
- Vital Signs: Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately using appropriate equipment
- Systems: Proficiency in using electronic systems for documentation and communication
