Position Summary:
The Production worker is responsible for operating and maintaining line equipment, monitor the process, and assist production line with the preparation and packaging products ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and quality standards are met and maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company
Position Responsibilities:
  • Works on Production line, according to procedures. May switch positions every two (2) hours and may be required to work other positions within the Production facility.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
  • Maintain and follow GMP, ServeSafe HACCP, SFQ, OSHA and OLM Food Solutions standards in the work environment.
  • Ability to learn, participate and become knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing practices, 6 Sigma and Root Cause Analysis.
  • General labor.
  • Stack product on pallet.
  • Abilty to run the inserter.
  • Ability to understand equipment operation.
  • Ability to perform equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ability to perform basic autonomous maintenance tasks on process equipment.
  • May start up and shut down operations for line.
  • Fill the pepperoni slicer and change the heads.
  • Set up and change over metal detection & box taper
  • Machine Operator - simple/complex.
  • Ability to run the Adco is properly.
  • Rack runners and loaders.
  • Fluent on the set-up and change over of the sauce applicator, waterfall, and Shanklin.
  • Ability to properly set-up and adjust the Adamatic, press, oven spirals and pre-proofer.
  • Ability to operate cheese loader - pulling apart 25 pound blocks of cheese.
  • Accurately operate the cheese scale.
  • Ability to utilize the box and bag maker.
  • Ability to accurately operate the cheese sealer.
  • Ability to operate pallet stacker (cheese), stacking 25 pound cases onto a pallet.
  • Master Mixer - Mixes product according to formulation set by Company. Collects samples for Quality Assurance. Uses a scoop to mix and remove paste from container.
  • Have the ability and knowledge to be a Finished Product Inspector.
  • Experience setting up and running the mixer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and use hands to grip regularly.
Requires frequent exposure to extreme cold (below 0 F degrees) temperatures.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education and/or Experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or twelve to eighteen months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least eighteen (18) year of age.
  • Communication/Language Skills. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must. Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions and product labels.
  • Certifications. Electric palate jack, American Institute of Baking and GMP HACCP certification preferred.
  • Mathematical Skills. Perform basic math functions with the ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Reasoning Abilities. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.
