Mountain Coal is Hiring a Warehouse Technician I Near Somerset, CO

OVERALL, JOB PURPOSE:

To perform diverse warehouse job functions that support the operating efficiency of West Elk Mine.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Ensure the highest standards of safety in the workplace; adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Accurately receive, stock, and inventory all incoming parts and supplies. Process all receipts, including purchase order ID and verify to packing slip. Adhering to IRS-SOX requirements.
  • Operate various pieces of motorized equipment, including forklifts and front-end loaders unloading trucks, reloading trucks, pushing gravel, processing and compacting trash and scrap metal.
  • Research and reconcile receiving problems.
  • Maintain and issue supplies at Satellite Warehouse.
  • Inventory, issue, and receive explosives.
  • Utilize ELLIPSE extensively for inventory control to stay in SOX compliance.
  • Ensure the highest standards of organization and cleanliness.

PREFERRED AND REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Current driver's license without restrictions
  • Must be able to pass Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) background check.
  • Technician II - minimum of five years of warehouse experience working within the Job Responsibilities as described above.
  • Technician I - less than five years of warehouse experience working within the Job Responsibilities as described above.
  • Experience and proficiency with Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and ELLIPSE
  • Capable of safely and efficiently operating a forklift and front-end loader for long periods of time
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • General knowledge of mining equipment and supplies preferred.
  • General knowledge of parts and supplies
  • Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in all seasonal elements, both indoor and out.
