Mount Sinai Hospital is Hiring an Ambulatory coordinator Near Chicago, IL

Reporting to the Director Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, the Ambulatory Services Coordinator (*ASC) is an individual coordinator who collaborates with patients, clinic caregivers, pharmacists, and providers to ensure patients have access to needed healthcare services.

The Ambulatory Services Coordinator will represent patient needs and advocate for their care. The ASC’s primary duties are to enhance the quality of care and customer service by increasing patient retention and recruitment to Sinai Health System.

The ASC will assist with guiding and supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey. This can include adherence to clinic visits, medication management services, etc.

The ASC will be responsible for patient outreach within various clinics. The incumbent should remain knowledgeable with 340B legislation and able to assist with maintaining 340B legislation, trends, and reporting to the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law or similar field required
  • Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in related field preferred; will consider experience as an Intern with similar background

Knowledge and Skills :

  • Experience Preferred in EPIC and MEDITECH software systems
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Knowledgeable in clinical functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate data management skill in Microsoft Excel
  • Adept with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Driven and accountable for results
  • Punctual and outstanding attendance, partners with manager for time off needs in advance. Flexible and reliable during uptick in business needs and or workload shifts.

Volunteers to jump in when needed

Familiar with HIPAA regulations and compliance

  • 340B certification highly preferred
