Description Faculty Psychiatrist Position at the World Trade Center Health Program, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The World Trade Center (WTC) Mental Health Program at the Icahn School of Medicine, Mount Sinai is recruiting a full-time psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated professionals who treat 9/11 responders with psychiatric conditions associated with exposure to psychological trauma and environmental hazards at the WTC disaster site. Our strong interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers are committed to providing evidence-based care to police officers, construction and utilities workers, and others who participated in the 9/11 rescue, recovery, and restoration efforts. We treat PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and newly diagnosed mood disorders related to serious medical sequalae of toxic exposure. In acknowledgement of the ongoing need to provide services for responders with psychiatric and medical conditions many years after their WTC exposure, the CDC awarded $340 million in new funding to Mt. Sinai's WTC Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence. We aim to honor this commitment by offering compassionate and excellent care. We offer educational seminars to ensure that clinicians are supported in their work and encourage professional growth. This position is fully outpatient with no nights, weekends, or call responsibilities and includes faculty appointment commensurate with experience in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Full time employment may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Mount Sinai offers a $7,500 bonus to candidates who relocate from more than 50 miles away. Responsibilities include: Conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing evidence-based psychiatric treatment including psychopharmacology and psychotherapy in an outpatient clinical setting Participation in weekly clinical case conferences Supervising psychology trainees, social workers, and psychiatry residents Participating in quality improvement/program development projects assigned by Medical Director as needed. Position Qualifications: • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry • Possess NYS license to practice medicine • Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills required • Must possess highly collaborative and proactive approach, and demonstrate commitment to high-quality, cost-effective health care • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in and grow a team-oriented, performance-driven department Compensation range is from 240K to 280K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
