Fast paced urology practice in Carle Place, NY is seeking an energetic, computer literate, self starter with a strong background in medical terminology. This is a great opportunity for pre-health students!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Obtaining history of present illness (HPI) from patients.
- Collaborating with physician to compose a thorough patient's chart. Using appropriate medical terminology, a medical transcriptionist must be able to summarize each visit with a patient's medical/social/family history, reason for visit, physical exam/diagnostic testing, and plan of treatment.
- Inputting EKG, echocardiograms, carotid duplexes, nuclear stress testing, etc. into portal.
Requirements:
- Must have a reliable source of transportation to Carle Place, NY (Note: this is NOT a remote position).
- Part-time position available (Monday-Friday).
- One year commitment required (Note: this is NOT a summer position).
- Type 60 words per minute on average.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred but not required.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination status
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.87 - $22.72 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Work Location: In person
