Overnight Counselor Responsibilities: Full job description available at time of interview
The Awake Overnight Counselor is responsible for delivering services to students in line with program objectives and each student's Individual Treatment Plan. Building connections with students is essential for understanding, compassion, and fostering treatment progress. Offering meaningful and relevant programming that engages youth is key to promoting a positive program culture and enabling our students' treatment progress.
· Assist with bedtime routines.
· Prepare students for the day.
· Gather relevant information about students' issues.
· Conduct compassionate bed checks.
· Provide crisis support.
· Maintain 100% supervision.
· Celebrate achievements and reinforce positive behavior.
· Obtain and adhere to TCI certification.
· Manage crises with compassion.
· Facilitate residential routine.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree or 60 college credits, OR
· 2 years of full-time experience working with youths, OR
· Combination of relevant credits and experience totaling 2 years, OR
· 7 years of parenting experience.
· Valid driver's license & 21 years of age.
· Authorized to work in the United States.
· Satisfactory completion of background and pre-employment checks.
· Compassionate and dedicated with a passion for youth development.
