VACANCY DESCRIPTION: Mount Horeb Christian School (MHCS) is seeking a candidate for the upcoming 2024-25 school year in our Middle School to teach Math. Mount Horeb Christian School's Preschool-8th grade campus includes four classrooms of grades K-1st, 2nd, 3rd-4th, and 5th-8th. The ideal candidate will prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.

High Point Christian School (HPCS) was founded in 1975 as a ministry of what is now High Point Church, a non-denominational, evangelical fellowship serving the greater Madison area. In 2019, HPCS expanded its school to include K-8 classes in Mount Horeb at Life Church. In July 2023, Mount Horeb Christian School was officially be "birthed" as a separate Preschool-8th Grade school. Our campuses offer safe, caring, and Christ-centered environments for grades K-8 and 3K and 4K preschool programs. MHCS is one of seven schools that makes up Impact Christian Schools.

Mount Horeb just is fifteen minutes west of Madison, WI, and holds a world of small-town charm and hospitality in each part of their community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The teacher shall be a mature, sincere Christ follower who feels called by God to the teaching profession.
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Association of Christian School International (ACSI) teaching certification.

PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ACSI Certified Teacher.
  • State of Wisconsin certified Teacher.
  • Three to five years of classroom teaching experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Full-time salary – $35,217 - $45,068, Depending on Experience (Prorated by FTE)
  • Position as a Math Teacher (middle school) is 0.8621 FTE which includes teaching four sections of math and one section of middle school Bible (additional FTE may be possible with the ability to teach extra classes).
