Mott MacDonald's West Coast offices are recruiting for a Project and Billing Specialist to join their respective teams. In this position, you will work alongside project managers and clients to produce timely billing and cost-control reports for multiple projects throughout the company.

Responsibilities:

• Primarily working with Project Managers and clients for a professional services firm specializing in consulting engineering with the clients being both public and private
• Produce accurate and timely billing and cost control reports for projects while interacting with clients and colleagues throughout our Company
• Invoicing and gather full knowledge and understanding the requirements of our contracts.
• Gathering supporting documentation, checking the information for accuracy, following a standard or client specific invoicing format and following up with Project Managers and clients
• Working alongside project managers to produce other project accounting data on an as needed basis
• Monitor the West Unit's accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect the overdue amount.
• Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.
• Work with billing team to resolve customer issues concerning billing.
• Report on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.

Candidate Specifications :
Mott MacDonald specializes in innovative engineering solutions for various projects in multiple sectors. This ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree preferred but, not required
• Prior experience working in billing or project accounting experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
• Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have outstanding time management skills
• Can meet deadlines as various invoices have different due dates each month
• Be a team player and work well with others
• Occasional travel may be required

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000
