As an experienced CAD Specialist, you will be involved in a range of small to large projects as part of our transportation team. The role will be challenging and varied.

The key elements of the role are (but not limited to):

• To provide CAD design output for the civil / structural aspects as well as other discipline of a project by delivering quality 2D or 3D models and drawings to internal and external clients
• Production and review of drawings using MicroStation, Open Buildings, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects
• Evaluate existing designs and develop new and improved designs
• Provide technical support and advice to other members of the design team
• Troubleshoot design issues
• Producing and maintaining accurate fully coordinated structural models/drawings and details using company standard CAD/BIM systems, processes, and procedures

Candidate Specification :
Essential requirements to be considered for the role include the following:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant industry or a combination of a College Diploma with 10 years of industry experience
• Proficient in the use of MicroStation, Open Buildings and AutoCAD
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in MicroStation, Open Buildings and AutoCAD design
• Minimum 5 years' experience of working on Infrastructure
• Revit a plus
• Experience with ProjectWise preferred
• Undertake the delivery of drawing packages within tight deadlines and as part of a multidisciplinary project
• The ability to work from designers/engineer's calculations and/or rough sketches/drawings produce accurate and structured drawings suitable for final issue
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience in civil engineering structures
• Preferred experience of using Civil 2D & 3D and/or Open Roads, and Open Buildings
• Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
