Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Dentist to join our team at MCSC. As a Pediatric Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized dental care to children and adolescents, ensuring their oral health needs are met with exceptional care and attention.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for pediatric patients.
  • Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions in children, including cavities, gum disease, and malocclusions.
  • Perform restorative procedures, such as fillings, crowns, and extractions, as needed.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and dental assistants to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Educate patients and their parents/guardians about proper oral hygiene and preventive measures.
  • Create treatment plans tailored to each child's unique dental needs.
  • Monitor and track patient progress, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Address dental emergencies promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry through continuing education.
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical dental practice.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program.
  • Board certification in pediatric dentistry preferred.
  • Current state dental license and DEA registration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with children and their parents/guardians.
  • Empathy and patience in dealing with pediatric patients and their families.
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry.
  • CPR and basic life support certification.
