JOB TITLE: Assembly Technician - Level 3

TYPE: Full Time, non-exempt

SUMMARY:

The Assembly Technician – Level 3 will be responsible for assembling and testing electro–mechanical components and products according to engineering drawings and specifications and conduct functional tests and performance checks to ensure proper operation and functionality. This position will identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions through troubleshooting techniques. This position will also use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as measuring instruments to ensure that the products meet all quality standards. The person in this role will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Assembles electro-mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools and power tools.
• Conducts functional tests and performance checks on assembled components and products per corporate guidelines and test procedures to ensure proper operation and functionality.
• Identifies and resolves any issues or malfunctions through troubleshooting techniques.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Performs preliminary and / or final packaging of components and final products.
• Continually follows routing instructions with minimal guidance of Production Lead and recommends opportunities for improvement.
• Supports efficiency and improvement initiatives of work cell.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area compliant with 6S standards.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Train Level II team members
• Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:

• High school diplomaor equivalent required.
• Technical certificate / degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and test required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team without oversight.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong safety awareness.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Assembly Technician role requires Position requires good manual dexterity, fine motor skills, visual acuity, spatial awareness, proficiency in using hand tools and equipment. This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, and occasional bending or squatting. Candidates should be able to comfortably perform physical tasks associated with the role, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

OVERTIME / TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Overtime (OT) will be required from time to time for short-term or long-term duration, as business needs mandate. Travel may be required by any mode of transportation as determined by company for business reasons such as, but not limited to, equipment service / installation, skill development or training

Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
