Motion Therapy is Hiring a Scheduler/Patient Care Coordinator Near Duluth, MN

In Motion Therapy is looking to hire an upbeat, positive person with exceptional customer service skills as a Scheduler/Patient Care Coordinator. This person should enjoy being apart of a care team in connecting and engaging with patients in person and on the phone. Additionally, this role requires someone who has a high level of attention to detail in order to maintain the flow for insurance verification and billing. Strong computer skills is necessary for scheduling and assisting with reports. We desire this candidate to be a team player with a willingness to learn and grow in their position. Light housekeeping duties is also apart of this position. Experience in a health care and/or insurance setting is preferred

Job Summary: Position requires a high level of customer service skills to enhance positive relationships with patients, coworkers and others. Physical therapy scheduler/patient care coordinator position duties include greeting patients, handling incoming calls, schedules appointments, data entry, collects copays, verifies insurance and assists team with accounts receivable. Other duties include daily clinic cleaning, room maintenance between patients, organizing treatment rooms and exercise gym and folding laundry.

Knowledge, skills and abilities,

  • Strong customer service skills, tact and diplomacy.
  • Experience with computer software, proficient typing skills.
  • Basic understanding of Physical Therapy and desire to learn more about the profession.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and apply.
  • Ability to consistently achieve a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with both scheduling, room maintenance and cleaning.
  • Ability to work as a team member, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers and patients.
  • Ability to work independently, to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to remain courteous and professional under high pressure situations.
  • Multi tasking
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, utilizing discretion and good judgement. Adhering to HIPPS guidelines.

Work Conditions:

Work is performed indoors in an office environment with good lighting and ventilation, with the majority of work time spent cleaning and organizing rooms, standing and folding laundry, and at a desk utilizing telephone and computer programs.
