Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

The company is located in Reston, VA and the candidate will need to come on-site 5 days a week.
What You Will Be Doing:
Support the development, implementation, and oversight of security measures and controls to safeguard our M365 and Microsoft Azure cloud-based systems, infrastructure, and security frameworks.
Contribute significantly to our Data Security Program by orchestrating the deployment, setup, and administration of data security protection technologies, including Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, and data classification.
Act as a security consultant for various spontaneous security initiatives driven by business and Information Technology advancements.
Collaborate on security engineering initiatives involving other cyber security platforms like Security Information and Event Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Vulnerability Management.
Assist in formulating and reinforcing security policies, standards, and procedures to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
Evaluate and integrate new security technologies, tools, and methodologies into our existing framework.
Required Skills & Experience:
Over 5 years of security engineering experience in a dynamic and diverse large enterprise setting.
More than 3 years of engineering and technical expertise with Microsoft cloud security technologies, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
Proficient in deploying, configuring, and managing data security protection technologies such as Data Loss Prevention, Cloud Access Security Broker, and data classification.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Committed to continuous improvement, security process engineering, and operational excellence.
Thorough grasp of cybersecurity principles, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
