Automation Software Engineers (ASE) perform the analysis, design, programming, and modifications for moderately complex mechanical and electro-mechanical devices and systems and/or customer applications. An ASE writes code and completes programming, testing, and debugging of applications. Finalizes forms, procedures, and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs. Interfaces with marketing and customers to add new or custom features to company products. They may use a wide range of disciplines such as distributed networking and databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications. Requires firm background in software engineering analysis, design, implementation, and verification.

Requirements

Required Education; Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electromechanical engineering, or mechatronics.

Required Experience:

• Proficiency in PCB design software and tools with strong knowledge of firmware programming for embedded systems.
• Three to four years experience in a related field or robotics, databases, statistics, or control systems and,
• Practical experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, and Modicon control systems and,
• PLC programming in accordance with IEC 61131-3 Programmable controllers - Programming languages (such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block) and,
• AutoDesk and Inventor to create 3D models of parts and assemblies.

Preferred Experience:

• Practical experience with HMI and SCADA systems, working with electrical schematics, AC/DC motors, both fixed and variable speed.
• Familiarity with fieldbuses and industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet IP, Ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet, etc.
• Experience selecting and integrating sensors, and/or debugging and troubleshooting control systems.
• Experience with TIA portal a plus.
• Experience with entertainment industry automation a plus.

Compensation from $75,000/Year special consideration for candidates with preferred experience.

This is a Full-time position.

Hours and Days: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
