Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with transportation to appointments or outings
Requirements:
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
Skills:
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized environment for the client's comfort and well-being.
- Care: Provide compassionate care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients.
- Hospice Care: Familiarity with providing end-of-life care and support to terminally ill patients.
- Nurse Assistance: Assist nurses with medical procedures and monitoring vital signs.
- Childcare: Experience in caring for children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Dementia Care: Knowledge of techniques for caring for individuals with dementia or memory loss.
- Senior Care: Understanding the unique needs of elderly individuals and providing appropriate care.
- First Aid: Ability to administer basic first aid in case of emergencies.
- Assisted Living: Familiarity with the operations and services provided in assisted living facilities.
- Systems: Proficiency in using computer systems or software for documenting client information.
