JOB SUMMARY
All entry level employees with no experience in the air emissions testing field are designated Test Technician 1. The Test Technician 1 position is a developmental period of from 3 to 6 months in which the new hire is exposed to air emission testing procedures and projects. Newly hired employees must be willing to grow by learning from supervisors and co-workers how to conduct project tasks properly, safely, and efficiently by asking questions, mastering the knowledge and demonstrating the skills required for promotion to the next level (Test Technician 2). The new employee must recognize and demonstrate that they understand the importance of Mostardi Platt’s ongoing relationships with clients and outside agency representatives and work to maintain client satisfaction by representing Mostardi Platt with a positive attitude and actions as part of the team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pack equipment as instructed by warehouse staff for a variety of projects in order to become familiar with the air test equipment including nozzles, thermocouples, pitots, probes, probe liners, filter holders, filter ovens, impingers, umbilicals, and meter boxes.
• Participate in projects following instructions provided by the Test Engineer, pushing probe correctly, measuring static pressure and performing a wet bulb/dry bulb measurement for moisture.
• Understand and follow Company policies and procedures as directed by your supervisor and as specified in the Employee Handbook
• Render other and unrelated services and duties as may be assigned from time to time.
