The SQUAD is hiring hardworking, honest technicians for the upcoming season. Individuals who are responsible, reliable, self-motivated and can work in a team atmosphere. NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED. The SQUAD will train and certify all seasonal, full-time and part time employees.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pest Control Technicians conduct property inspections, perform treatments (both natural and pesticide products, depending on the property), and educate customers on mosquito and tick reduction methods. The Technician must be able to provide excellent customer service, including communicating with customers. We will provide training to comply with all state and federal laws and regulations. The Technician must be able to work with minimal supervision under the leadership of the operations manager and/or owner and works with other Mosquito Squad team members.

Pay: Starting at $17.50

Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide superior customer services to maintain customer satisfaction and preservation of the Mosquito Squad brand and reputation
• Safely travel to customer’s homes, conduct an inspection of the property, and properly perform treatments for mosquitoes, ticks, and other pests, while following all company, state, and federal laws
• Operate a backpack blower and other application equipment in high heat and humidity often through rough and uneven terrain
• Follow an assigned route and carefully read notes for each property to ensure customer satisfaction
• Fill out field service report on your smart phone and maintain records of barrier treatments and other field activities
• Keep company vehicles clean and tidy. Report any issues with trucks/blower to management right away.
• Responds to basic customer inquiries and requests, notifies supervisor and/or owner of complaints or issues to ensure timely resolution
• Promote the brand and pest solutions we provide to neighbors and others
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

*Must be at least 18 years of age

* Must be able to study for and pass the Illinois General Standards Exam (Paid)

*Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to and from work

* Must have a smart phone with cellular data

* Professional, self-confident, reliable and pays attention to detail to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks

*Must be capable of carrying a 55 lb. backpack blower, often through wooded or uneven terrain.

* Must be a self-starter and able to follow instructions.
