SUMMARY

Facilitates the flow of material from supply base to manufacturing site. Works directly with Suppliers to ensure timely arrival of conforming goods. Supports Purchasing functions as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Purchase order management. Maintains accurate system data.
• Analyzes multiple reports and uses information to identify mis-aligned and late schedules.
• Extensive communication with supply base regarding delivery, quality, and logistics. Candidate should be comfortable with persuasive negotiation.
• Communicates with Purchasing, Production, and Sales teams regarding potential supply disruptions.
• Assists Buyers with maintenance of price and lead time data.
• Reconciles partial purchase orders.
• Supports Accounting with invoice reconciliation.
• Uses system reports to monitor excess material.
• Supports Supplier Quality administrative functions.
• Prepares supplier performance and spend data.
• Supports Purchasing functions as needed.
