Laborer Apprentice

Mortenson strongly believes in community participation and is committed to maximizing the participation of local, women and minority workers on our projects.

To that end, we have developed a Community Hiring process that provides for construction craft worker employment opportunities.

Mortenson will be exclusively accepting applications for apprentice laborer positions. Below is a description of the position experience

Responsibilities

• Has completed or currently enrolled in a union pre-apprentice program.
• Currently engaged in a union apprenticeship program.
• Has the desire to develop a career as a union craft worker.
• Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Provide references from previous employers; does not have to be construction related.

• Cooperate with others when in a team environment
• Accept direction from supervisors
• Follow work rules and procedures
• Punctual and consistent attendance
• Accept constructive feedback

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Willing to work in INCLEMENT weather
• Physically able to perform the work
• Dependable and Timely
• Reliable Transportation
• Basic math skills
• Strong teamwork orientation

Education and Experience Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required
