Job Type Full-timeDescriptionGENERAL JOB DUTIES : Service Cranes and Hoists for Morrow Equipment Company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers and vendors in a professional business environment, demonstrating a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all personnel to ensure tasks are completed timely.Required to have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities as necessary in order to meet deadlines.

Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and respectful manner.Demonstrates a "can-do" attitude by being self-driven, personable, and dependable.

Respectful and appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication style to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings to everyone while performing for / or representing the Company.

Strong focus towards serving internal and external customers with courtesy, tact, calmness, timeliness, sincerity, and empathy.

Successful problem-solving skills, including the identification, resolution, prevention of problems, and being a good listenerEffective speaking and writing skill and ability, including face-to-face, by phone, email, reports, and other required documentationDetail-oriented with an ability to plan and prioritize work activities with a focus on quality and timelinessAbility to adapt to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to multi-task and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Computer proficiency, including ability to use e-mail, Microsoft Word and Excel, PDFs, internet browsers, etc.Provide technical assistance to erect, climb, dismantle and perform maintenance and repairs to cranes and personnel / material hoists in district region and other locations as required.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including manufacturer's published instructions, parts and equipment specifications, catalogs, manuals, etc.

Ability to read electrical schematics. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical hoist and crane systems.Ability to service motor controls and diagnose electrical problems.

Proper loading of equipment on trucks for transporting equipment from jobsites.Ability and willingness to assist District Service Manager and Shop / Yard Foreman with maintenance and repair of cranes and hoists when not assigned to a jobsite.

Ensure the maintenance and preventative maintenance is performed on all assigned tools.Ensure all assigned lifting equipment is inspected and maintained in a safe operating condition.

Following of all Company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including proper usage of Company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, arc flash, etc.

Ability to represent the Company in a professional manner, which includes wearing of Company supplied MEC Branded shirts or FR uniforms, and proper maintenance of Company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Understanding and compliance with Company policies, OSHA, Applicable ASME B30 safety standards, State and local specific safety regulations, and site-specific safety plans as they apply to crane and hoist erection, dismantle, climbing, maintenance and repair.

Notifies the District Service Manager or, if unavailable, the Corporate Safety Director, Corporate Service Manager or Vice President of Operations of unsafe conditions and / or practices.

Complying with safety regulations, standards and Company policies.Responsible for timely completion and submission of required paper work and reports to the Corporate office.

Safeguard tools and equipment belonging to the Company. Ability to lift 50 pounds.Ability to work at heights as required Ability and willingness to work extra hours, including overtime and on-call availability, according to business needs.

Performance of other duties as assigned by District Service Manager or Field Service Manager.RequirementsTECHNICAL SKILLS / LICENSES REQUIRED : Ability to operate all yard and shop equipment.

Requirement to maintain a Rigging and Signal Person certification (such as NCCCO or equivalent acceptable to Morrow) Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.

Maintain a valid State driver's license and be insurable by the company's carrier.In addition to the requirements above, you;

May be required to have a Forklift operator's license. May be required to maintain a Crane Operator Qualification.PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Average hours per week : Normal work schedule.

Shift : As needed, this position occasionally requires you to work overtime in the shop or in the field, including some travelTools or equipment used for this position and frequency of use : VariousPercentage of time during normal workday the employee is required to : Sit - 20% Stand - 80% Walk - 80% Lift - 20%Squat - 5% Bend - 20% Twist - 15% Crawl - 0%Kneel - 20% Drive - 40% Climb - 20% Reach over Shoulders-15% All of these are required in various percentages that differ according to the project assigned.

Weight required to be lifted each normal workday : (Occasionally 1-33%, Frequently 34-66%, Continuously 67-100%) Occasional Frequently Continuously0-10 lbs.

X10-20 lbs. X 20-35 lbs. X 35-50 lbs. X Employees should not lift loads in excess of 50 lbs. without first seeking assistance or making use of mechanical aids.

OccasionallyRepetitive use of foot or feet in operating machine controls : Not Required.Sensory Requirements (speech, vision, smell, touch, hearing) : All are required.

Environmental factors of each normal workday : Time spent : Inside - 0-2, Outside - 6-8 hoursTemperature : Various Humidity : VariousAtmosphere : Fumes, Odors, Dust, Gas Hazards : Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, HeightsProtective clothing / equipment that may be required include MEC issued uniform, work shoes or boots with slip and puncture resistant soles, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, rubber electrical gloves, lanyard, harness and fall protection.
