Morris Packaging is Hiring a SQF Practitioner Near Jefferson, MO

Position Summary: The Standard Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner develops, implements, reviews, and maintains SQF policies and programs to ensure facility compliance with the SQF Code. This position also collaborates with management to ensure the integrity of the facility’s SQF system. An important part of this role is to communicate all information essential to maintain compliance with the SQF Code to relevant personnel. SQF practitioners will also work with management to successfully complete the yearly SQF audit.

Essential Functions:

Develop and maintain SQF System policies and procedures to meet compliance standards and drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with multiple departments on SQF administration.

Ensure site personnel have the required competencies to carry out those functions affecting product quality and safety.

Conduct training of personnel to ensure sufficient competency to perform duties affecting regulatory compliance, food safe packaging, food safety, and quality.

Perform SQF System internal audits and program reviews.

Maintain SQF System records management.

Lead HACCP team meetings and activities.

Commit to facility food safety and quality programs and procedures.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment, with occasional time spent on the manufacturing floor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Sit for extended periods of time. Lift 20-40 pounds of office supplies. Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, fingers, with the ability to feel and reach with hands and arms.
