Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Follow established safety procedures and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks as needed
- Assist with setting up rooms for admissions or events
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and sanitation
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
Skills:
- Floor care: Familiarity with floor care techniques, including stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
- Maintain: Ability to keep facilities clean and well-maintained on an ongoing basis
- Custodial: Knowledge of custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, etc.
- Facilities maintenance: Understanding of basic maintenance tasks related to building upkeep- changing a/c filters, touch up painting, leaky faucets & toilets
