Morningstar Investment Management, LLC is Hiring a Senior Project Manager Near Chicago, IL

Position Overview: Morningstar DBRS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between business operations and technology, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of systems and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of technology infrastructure and/or enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and oversee projects at the intersection of business operations and technology from inception to completion. Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, engineers, and developers to define project requirements, priorities, and deliverables. Facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Technology Integration: Drive the integration of technology solutions into existing business operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and performance. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools that align with organizational needs and strategic objectives.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, quality or policies. Develop contingency plans and escalation procedures as needed to ensure project success and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes and standards to validate project deliverables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and track project progress, performance metrics, and KPIs, providing regular updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders. Identify areas for improvement and optimization, driving continuous process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on business operations and technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and/or software development methodologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, credit rating agencies, or other highly regulated industry is preferred but not required.
