Neighbor Dental is Hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Near Laurel, MD

We are looking for a motivated and excited Receptionist to join our family dental practice. We have been treating patients in Laurel for over 31 years so we are looking for someone who will continue to treat our patients like family. As the first face our patients will greet when coming into the practice, we are looking for someone who has a pleasant personality and go above and beyond for our patients. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking patients in and out and booking appointments. We are proud to see we have a great team that works together. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. Ultimately, a Receptionist’s duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes guests positively, and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Follow up with patients and book appointments
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email

Skills

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
  • Dental office experience is a plus!

Administrative Duties:

  • Scheduling

  • Processing payments
