Asphalt Paving Foreman

Location : Charlotte, TN

Our client that specializes in Asphalt Paving is looking to hire an Asphalt Paving Foreman for the Charlotte, TN area. This is a full-time, permanent position.

We are looking for a construction professional that started on a paving crew and worked their way from a laborer, to a rake, to a screw to foreman.

This is a private, family-owned company with multiple asphalt plants in TN. They construct roads and complex asphalt infrastructure projects average 2000 to 3000 tons of asphalt a day.

They’ve won several Smooth Road Paving Awards .

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manage operations of multiple milling and paving crews, subcontractors, quality control support, logistics directly in a defined region.
• Schedule equipment, manpower, and material needed for your project.
• Achieve optimum utilization of equipment, material, and labor maximizing production and minimizing costs.
• Ensure safety of crew members as well as the public who may interact with projects.
• Maintain project records, review and approve daily timecards, communicate and manage change orders, approve invoices, and attend project meetings.
• Understand and conform with project drawings, specifications, and any / all special or quality requirements

EXPERIENCE :

• Five (5) years of asphalt paving experience preferred.
• Experience with DOT, county and city streets
• Experience in Milling and Sealcoating
• Experience using Paving Equipment (paver, roller, screw machine etc)
