Job Title: Experienced Pediatric Diagnostician (e.g. Neuropsychologist, Clinical Psychologist)

We understand the vital importance of early and accurate identification of conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other comorbidities, as well as the significance of addressing mental health considerations. In line with our strong commitment to the betterment of our community, we are actively seeking experienced professionals to join our team. We are particularly interested in Licensed Neuropsychologists, and Clinical Psychologists, who possess expertise in diagnostics and can contribute to creating a more holistic and supportive environment for the children and families we serve.

Position Overview:

We are searching for compassionate and experienced professionals who are driven by the desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with special needs and their families. As a Pediatric Diagnostician at MORIAH, you will play a vital role in our mission to provide comprehensive assessments targeted for those experiencing symptomatology associated with
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning differences, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD), and other neurodevelopmental challenges. These assessments are crucial for children who may not have access to these essential services due to financial constraints. By joining our team, you will directly contribute to expanding access to early intervention, tailored support, and addressing mental health considerations, ensuring a brighter and more holistic future for the children and families in MORIAH’s community.

Responsibilities:

● Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning differences, neurodevelopmental challenges, mental health and other comorbid conditions.

● Collaborate with families to provide guidance, support, and recommendations for tailored interventions addressing various needs.

● Maintain meticulous records of assessments and diagnostic findings, adhering to ethical and professional standards.

● Stay updated on the latest evidence-based research, assessment tools, and best practices in diagnostics and related fields, ensuring the highest quality of care.

● Provide leadership within MORIAH, offering clinical expertise, insights, and informed guidance to enhance the organization's programs and services.

● Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care for each child, addressing their unique needs and contributing to a holistic approach.

● Supporting opportunities for novel research in the areas of social skills development.

Qualifications:

● Experience as a licensed Neuropsychologist, or Clinical Psychologist, with specialized expertise in diagnostics, including the ability to diagnose Autism Spectrum Disorder,
ADHD, learning differences, neurodevelopmental challenges, mental health and other comorbid conditions.

● Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as:

  • Intelligence testing:Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales.
  • Personality assessments: Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI), Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory (MCMI).
  • Behavioral assessments: Behavior Assessment System for Children (BASC), Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL).
  • Emotional assessments: Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI).
  • Neuropsychological testing:Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS), Trail Making Test.
  • Social skills assessments: Social Skills Improvement System (SSIS), Vineland Social-Emotional Early Childhood Scales (Vineland SEEC).
  • Academic assessments:Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement (WJ-IV), Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT-III).
  • Observational assessments: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2), Conners’ Rating Scales.
  • Diagnostic criteria: Diagnostic Interview Schedule (DIS), Structured Clinical Interview for DSM Disorders (SCID).-2, IQ Tests, and Social and Pragmatic Development tools to conduct thorough assessments.

● Understanding and consideration of 3rd-party payer documentation requirements and practices in the delivery of clinical services.

● Demonstrated empathy and compassion in working with children and their families, with a kind focus on making a positive impact on their lives.

● Strong alignment with MORIAH's mission of expanding access to diagnostics and support services for children with special needs, and a purpose-driven commitment to empowering individuals and families.

● Professional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide informed guidance.

● Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute clinically, shaping programs and services to maximize impact in a nonprofit setting.
