Responsibilities:
- Greets and assists patients, clients, and relevant third parties via phone, email, and live web chat.
- Addresses inquiries concerning procedures, processes, services, and status updates; refers matter to relevant team member as required.
- Inputs medical records requests by accurately collecting and transcribing data into appropriate areas of assigned database system(s).
- Ensures incoming authorizations are HIPAA compliant in all aspects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills; capable of utilizing Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Capability to follow HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of administrative experience required; experience in a medical environment preferred.
