WKBT-TV, Western Wisconsin’s leading source for news, is looking for a full-time meteorologist who can communicate crucial weather information to a wide television and digital audience in the La Crosse/Eau Claire DMA (129). The right candidate will command local weather coverage by combining creativity, flexibility, and a flair for digital and social media.

What you will have the opportunity to do:

• Prepare and deliver urgent, compelling weather forecasts utilizing the latest WSI Max technology.
• Aggressively handle severe weather coverage with a priority on keeping people safe and well informed.
• Deliver engaging live reports, especially in breaking news and weather situations.
• Innovate and experiment with the latest technology in digital and social content.

What you will bring:

• BA/BS in Meteorology or related field.
• Ability to excel under tight deadlines.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Flexibility to work overnights, nights and weekends.
