Morgan is Hiring a Litigation Paralegal Near Fort Lauderdale, FL

Summary 

This role will work closely with a lead attorney and Litigation Paralegal. This position comes with competitive pay a great working environment. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Employment Law department in our Tampa, FL office. In this role as a Paralegal, you will work closely with a talented attorney in providing litigation support.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC.
  • E-file court documents in federal and state court.
  • Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
  • Draft and serve summons.
  • Coordinate depositions.
  • Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
  • Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery.
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
  • Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • At least 4 years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
  • General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court 
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
