Job Title: C Team Volleyball Coach @ Fort Morgan High School

Location: Fort Morgan High School, Fort Morgan, Colorado

Overview:

Fort Morgan High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as the C Team Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching volleyball, a strong understanding of the game, and the ability to effectively communicate and mentor high school athletes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of young athletes in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Coaching: Lead and instruct the C Team volleyball players in skill development, strategy, and teamwork during practices and games.
2. Player Development: Foster the individual growth and improvement of each player, focusing on fundamental skills, game knowledge, and sportsmanship.
3. Game Strategy: Develop game plans and strategies tailored to the abilities and strengths of the C Team players, and adapt strategies as needed during games.
4. Team Management: Manage team logistics, including scheduling practices, coordinating with the athletic department for facility use, and organizing transportation for away games.
5. Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to student-athletes, promoting academic excellence, sportsmanship, and character development both on and off the court.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with other coaches within the volleyball program to ensure consistency in coaching philosophy, skill development, and team culture.
7. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders regarding team expectations, schedules, and any relevant updates.
8. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety and well-being of players at all times, adhere to school and district policies, and uphold standards of conduct and sportsmanship.

Qualifications:

1. Coaching Experience: Prior experience coaching volleyball at the high school or club level is preferred.
2. Knowledge of the Game: Strong understanding of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with players, parents, and colleagues.
4. Leadership: Demonstrated leadership ability and the capacity to inspire and motivate student-athletes.
5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage team logistics and schedules.
6. Commitment: Dedication to the development and success of student-athletes, as well as a willingness to invest time and effort into the coaching role.
7. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in coaching or related fields is a plus.
8. Character: Integrity, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for this role.
