PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Associate Nursing Instructional Personnel (ANIP) is responsible for assisting students in the Associate Degree Nursing Program under the direction and supervision of a masters prepared nursing faculty. The position includes supervision of students in clinical and lab settings, participation in department and college-wide activities, professional development, and contribution to curriculum development. The position may also include the opportunity to provide classroom instruction under the direction and supervision of an MSN prepared nursing faculty member. The new faculty member will be dynamic, creative, and committed to teaching excellence, and have a passion for continuous improvement and assessment of student learning. Teaching assignments may include evening, night, and weekend offerings as well as a variety of shift lengths (8hr, 10hr, 12hr). Travel to clinical sites at various distances is required. A commitment to experiential education to inspire student engagement and success is expected. The ANIP exemplifies the college's guiding principles of integrity, respect, open and honest communication, and collaboration, and serves as a vital member of the college's faculty team. The faculty member shall perform all duties while promoting opportunities for inclusion, expressing the valuing of differences, and regularly demonstrating the college's commitment to the Guiding Principles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with evidence that an active plan is in place to complete an MSN Degree within a negotiated timeframe.
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Colorado or compact state.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Colorado Career and Technical Education Teaching
  • Three (3) years of recent experience in professional clinical nursing practice.
  • Must have the ability to work a variety of days and hours.
  • Occasional long and irregular hours necessitated by special projects, compliance with deadlines, length of institutional day and week and committee service.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required by position needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with an emphasis and/or experience in medical/surgical nursing.
  • Teaching experience in post-secondary professional nursing program.
  • Five (5) years recent experience in professional nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated success in working with students from diverse backgrounds.

Anticipated Start Date: August 2024

Salary and Benefits:

$63,200-$75,000 (includes premium pay for high-demand health positions), based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance, LTD & benefit package including tuition reimbursement in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

About Morgan Community College (MCC):

MCC is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park.
