Operations Supervisor PM Shift - Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000 per year, DOE

Days/Hours of Work: - Monday thru Friday, 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Responsibilities
The duties of an Operation Supervisor include excellent admin skills/customer service manner and/or correspondence in a fast-paced transportation environment.

• Coordinate daily linehaul schedules
• Ensure trucks get loaded and on the road timely to meet delivery schedules
• Answering customer service phone calls
• Receive and send emails in an organized, timely manner
• Oversee that all data entry is completed and accurate
• Monitor all activities of dockworkers in the loading and unloading of linehaul freight.
• Completes necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner to ensure an efficient and steady flow of information
• Closely works with terminal manager(s) daily

Essential Functions

• High volume phone calls from external customer
• Provide excellent & considerate customer service to customers and drivers
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• 1-2 Years Transportation Supervision Experience Required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft office suite knowledge/ experience

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Coach, teach and train all employees to operate in a safe manner
• Manage, supervise, and assign employees’s work assignments to ensure safe and productive operation along with meeting service commitments
• Provide both positive and constructive feedback to employees regarding behavior related to safety, service and production. This includes handling disciplinary action that may be needed.
• Ensure timely and proper loading of trailers to ensure service and quality commitments are met.
• Conduct daily shift meeting to ensure proper communication throughout the operation
• Ensure employees are compliant with safety regulations including OSHA and DOT compliance
• Work with Operations manager to ensure business objectives are aligned and meeting goals.
• Make informed decisions to ensure service and production goals are met based on business levels and communicate with employees and manager
• Ensure workplace and equipment is free of safety concerns and housekeeping is always in order

Summary
Moran Transportation is looking for an organized and experienced transportation supervisor to join our company. This role involves overseeing the team of drivers, customer service and data entry employees-delivering outbound shipments. In addition to scheduling drivers and assigning their delivery routes, you will also oversee reviewing trip reports for accuracy and ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1- 2 years Supervisory experience in a trucking office environment (Required)
• Organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Advance computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage responsibilities
