Moore's Electrical Mechanical is Hiring an Industrial Painter Near Danville, VA

Moore's Electrical & Mechanical was established in 1985 and is a growing MEP contractor concentrating on commercial and industrial system installs and service for customers in Virginia and North Carolina.
Moore's is looking to add an Industrial Painter to our team. Ideal candidates should have a great work ethic, a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a team atmosphere. Candidates should be willing to work closely with the shop foreman to ensure the customers expectations are met. Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces prior to painting
  • Follow assembly procedures as required (detail oriented)
  • Paint fabricated parts in paint booth
  • Safely dispose of chemical waste
  • Upkeep and maintenance of paint equipment
  • Ensure work area and paint booth are cleaned and orderly
  • Check fabricated parts, purchased parts, and material for deviation from required specifications
  • Locate, position, and move material and parts using a crane hoist and fork truck
  • Load/unload trucks
  • Utilize lean work procedures
  • Maintain and update associated job documentation
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and experience painting a variety of surface types
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and bills of material for standard and customer parts and products
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work individually and within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; works well with individuals at all levels of the business
  • Safety mindset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Lifting as much as 85 pounds
  • Perform other duties as assigned
