MCHD has averaged in the 94th percentile in the US over the past 8 years!This is a Full Time Position.WHAT YOU'LL DO: Under the direction of the Surgery Nurse Director. Provides direct patient care by assisting the Physician/Surgeon and Charge Nurse with patients. Communicates with physicians Charge Nurse, nurses and other staff about the patients condition and responds quickly and request assistance when changes occur in the care of the patient. Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patients condition. Additionally, is cross-trained to perform general nursing duties in other departments.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Six months nursing experience in a hospital surgical setting preferred.LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Current Texas LVN or RN licenseCertified Scrub Tech program completion and certificationCurrent CPR certification required.ALCS Certification required or must be obtained within first year of employment.OTHER REQUIREMENTS : The successful candidate will have:Knowledge of JCAHO accreditation process requiredKnowledge of infection control and aseptic proceduresAbility to follow oral and written instructionsAbility to maintain records and label itemsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, patients, and physicians#J-18808-Ljbffr
