As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating the collection and proper storage of various body fluids, particularly blood samples, adhering to established quality standards and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Ensuring accurate patient identification, proper labeling of specimens, and timely dispatch for testing.
• Maintaining clean, organized collection areas and ensuring proper disposal of used needles and bio-hazardous waste.
• Providing detailed and accurate patient paperwork, including updating patient data in our organization’s database.
• Administering first aid or basic life support as required.
• Interacting professionally with patients, offering comfort and reassurance during procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent. Certification from a recognized phlebotomy program is advantageous.
• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques, sterile procedures, basic patient care, and medical terminology.
• Demonstrated professionalism, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Proficiency in data entry and digital handling.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred but not required.
