Job Overview

Farmers Market Vendors are the face of the company this summer. We have met our biggest fans at farmers markets and count on these interactions as our main source of building all-star customer loyalty. The Farmers Market Vendor is the spark of that loyalty.

We're looking for someone who is excited about joining a small team and growing with the company as we scale up.

Farmers Market times are Wednesday afternoon (1:30p-7:30p) at Uptown Market and Sunday morning (7a-2:30p) in Wicker Park.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down farmers market stand
• Load product out of and into delivery vehicles
• Engage with potential customers in a knowledgable, friendly way about the product
• Use a mobile POS to ring up customers
• Monitor and cook product samples and arrange them in a pleasing way
• Look for places to be proactively helpful with whatever comes up

Qualifications

• Strong desire to be in front of customers, and ability to handle all customers with a helpful and good-spirited attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfort standing for 7 hours
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Previous experience in a customer service environment is preferred but not required
• Culinary experience, or interest in food, is also preferred but not required
