Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Project Manager for immediate employment in our Portland, Oregon office. Imagine making a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects, such as environmental investigation, remediation, or compliance projects. Working at AECOM means being part of a global team and collaborating with award-winning professionals around the globe. In this role you will be responsible for managing AECOM staff, subcontractors, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and communication, and financial management. Being located in the Portland area is required for this position, as it is not a remote position.
Responsibilities for this position may include the following:
Understand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.
Determine and define project scope and objectives.
Manage all phases of projects (from initiation to close-out).
Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
Monitor project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Make sound, well-informed and objective decisions with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
Provide technical oversight and quality control.
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
Advise/mentor less experienced staff on project management skills.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BS in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in site investigation, remediation, and project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver’s License.
US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed or ability to obtain license in the State of Oregon (Professional Engineer or Geologist).
Experience and knowledge of DEQ and Ecology (MTCA) cleanup laws.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
PMP certification or ability to obtain certification.
Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.
Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
Experience and interest in business development.
Have led teams of professionals in executing site investigations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, risk assessment, and treatability studies in support of Federal environmental projects.
Environmental compliance experience including:
NPDES permitting and compliance
RCRA – waste classification, management, and reporting
SPCC Plans
EPCRA – inventory evaluation, Tier II and Form R reporting
Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Compensation
Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000
