The Montgomery County School Board, Virginia, is now accepting applications for an 11 month Health & Medical Sciences (CTE) teacher position that is available for the 2024-2025 school year at Blacksburg High School.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License
• Hold or be eligible for a Health and Medical Sciences Education endorsement
• Have effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, parents, and families
• Demonstrated ability to be dependable and punctual
• Graduated from an approved program of study for the preparation of health care professionals (RN, LPN, CNA, etc.)
• Have strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Qualified to teach Nurse Aide courses based on Virginia Board of Nursing requirements
• Previous teaching experience
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or in the medical field
• Eligibility and experience with dual enrollment

Salary: 2024-2025 - 11 month Teacher Salary Scale, depending on experience (currently $53,736.09 - $86,434.25 annually)

FLSA: Exempt
