Montessori Day Schools Mountainside, in Phoenix, AZ has an opening for an Elementary Assistant Teacher in the 4th-6th grade classroom for the 2024-25 school year (July 29, 2024 start date). This assistant will provide support to the lead teacher and aid in running the classroom. This individual must be creative, loving and kind, calm, flexible, organized and dependable. She/he must be passionate about working with children! Experience in classroom management is necessary to be successful in the position.

This is a full-time position with a schedule Monday through Friday.

• Experience working well in a team classroom. Assistant is an integral part of creating a courteous, fun and energetic learning environment
• Assistant needs to have a positive attitude, is caring, curious about learning, and working with primary and/or elementary-aged children
• Ability to multitask and have strong classroom management skills
• Monitor students during class, lunch, recess, arrival and dismissal as needed
• Montessori experience is a plus

Required:

• Currently has or is eligible to obtain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP – Identity Verified Print)
• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Childcare or experience working with children

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
