What You’ll Do at Monteith Construction

As a senior superintendent, you will train, support, and oversee multiple superintendents and projects within a region. You may also be the lead superintendent for a single large-scale project to manage the overall day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities. Including ensuring a safe work environment, effective LEAN planning, and scheduling, cost control, quality control, coordination of trade partners, and strengthening relationships by ensuring the highest customer satisfaction.

• Train, support, and oversee multiple superintendents and projects within a region; or lead the field team on one large-scale project
• Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships
• Ensure that all projects are performed in accordance with contract and quality standards
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and E-mail correspondence
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and being proactively attended to
• Promote and maintain safety, health and cleanliness on the jobsite
• Conduct and/or attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings
• Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives

Experience You Should Have:

• 7 years of experience in supervising commercial construction
• Ability to work non-traditional hours
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with construction management software (Procore), a plus but not required
• Ability to travel
