Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations
- Assess patients' oral health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care measures
- Assist dentists during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (Dentrix)
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive dental care
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Proficiency in using dental software (Dentrix) for record keeping and treatment planning
- Ability to perform patient assessments including vital signs monitoring
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
