Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of nursing operations within our organization. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills and a deep understanding of healthcare systems.
Duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate patient records and documentation
- Monitor and assess patient outcomes, making recommendations for improvement as necessary
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory nursing experience in acute care, home health, assisted living, or nursing home settings
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a healthcare organization
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with shift management and scheduling processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
