Visual Merchandising Manager

Montblanc | Remote

Role Overview:

As Manager, Visual Merchandising, you will be a key member of the Visual Merchandising Team for the Americas region, responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of VM in line with Montblanc HQ guidelines while elevating the overall brand experience. Reporting to the Director, Visual Merchandising & Brand Experience, you will build strong relationships with the Boutique teams to ensure the delivery of best-in-class VM across your network. You will be based in Miami, with frequent travel across FL and Travel Retail, South America.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the VM planning and execution for your Boutiques, including retail stores, department stores, and wholesale Shop-In-Shops / jewellers and traditional trade locations.
  • Execute seasonal campaign launches and window installations for your Boutique network, and support the wider Southeast region, in line with the creative schemes, global VM decoration guidebooks, regional buying and market direction.
  • Create Boutique zoning plans for each launch and microzoning within each product category.
  • Ensure stores are being rotated bi-weekly, and that the VM actions are reflective of the local needs, including specific client groups, time of year, and collection priority.
  • Create visually strong and solution-led displays, aligned with the global VM/Brand Experience strategy and with a consistent high standard of VM.
  • Deliver VM training for Boutique teams, including new hire VM inductions, VM golden rules / principles, best practice and seasonal leather segmentation guidelines.
  • Manage the visual adaptation planning of lightbox campaigns and POSM display materials for Boutiques and projects including new store openings, renovations, brand events, pop-ups and market tradeshows.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising for seasonal leather collection launches and planning including rotation strategies and product priorities for Boutiques.
  • Compile VM team photo recap reports after store visits & window campaign launches in order to illustrate overview of the retail network business driven by VM initiatives and accomplishments.

Qualifications:

  • Previous luxury retail experience within leather and accessories industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, spatial design, interior design, retail management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 – 7 years visual merchandising managing experience required
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite & Digital Photography
  • Experienced using Adobe Creative Suite programs, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or other visual design tools
  • Working knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal/networking skills with ability to motivate and inspire
  • Attention to detail with exceptional organizational & planning skills
  • Flexible, agile, hands-on / team player and able to work autonomously
  • Proactive, solutions driven and able to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the business
  • Proven track record coordinating, executing projects and training
  • Manage personal travel/calendar and other expenses to an allocated budget
  • Extensive travel requirements – traveling 60% of the week
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends (if required)
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
