Position Summary:

Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a landfill gas production facility and equipment to achieve high standards of safety and reliability while meeting our production needs.

Major Responsibilities:

• Performs maintenance and repair tasks on compressors, engines, and other rotating machinery. Repairs can sometimes require complete equipment tear down and rebuild.
• Oversees (and to the extent necessary, participate with) subcontractors in the performance of equipment service work and in overhaul activities as required.
• Perform detailed and complex troubleshooting to diagnose plant equipment issues and develop plans to remedy.
• Interpret drawings, schematics and technical manuals for all plant equipment.
• Walk out job sites and obtain quotes for work to obtain quality work for the best value.
• Performs additional equipment inspections, preventative maintenance tasks, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience with troubleshooting and repair of compressors, engines and related subsystems.
• 3-5 years experience with repair experience with valves, regulators, fans, pumps and other rotating equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret drawing, sketches, O.E.M instructions and specifications.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel
• Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate both independently and within a team to accomplish maintenance tasks.
• Valid Drivers’ License issued by stat of residence and in good standing
• High School or technical training school
• Able to pass a background check

Additional Skills Desired:

• RNG facility experience highly desired
• Outage and maintenance planning experience highly desired. Successful candidates should seek to own and improve our current planned maintenance processes.
• Process Operations experience is highly desired, however this is primarily a mechanical repair role.
• Vehicle repair experience desired
• Knowledge of PLC a plus

Physical Working Conditions:

Work environment includes extreme temperatures, wind, and/or humid and noise. May be exposed to chemical, fire, burn and explosion hazards and fumes, odors, mists, dusts, and gases. Travel less than 25%.

• Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; frequently exerting up to 20 pounds of force
• Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
• Normal ability to distinguish colors, speak, touch, and hear
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus required

• Ability to operate a truck, forklift, and use a variety of tools
