Montana Tech is Hiring an Administrative associate Near Butte, MT

Montana Technological University provides a comprehensive benefits package for all eligible positions that includes health, dental and vision insurance, mandatory retirement plan with employer contribution, partial tuition waiver, and a wellness program.

Duties : Answer phones, respond to emails / mail, and greet and assist students and visitors while demonstrating exceptional customer service.

Facilitate the billing process of room / board charges for students, guests, and summer camps / conferences.Receive and process on-campus housing applications and deposits and facilitate room assignment communications with prospective and returning students.

Facilitate billing and occupancy tracking as necessary for any approved room / roommate changes in residence halls and apartments, and / or for any early arrivals or late departures.

Assess damages / charges on completed room inventories after approved by the Residence Education Coordinator and / or the Director.

Maintain a master occupancy report / roster that is updated daily and shared with other Housing and Residence Life and student affairs staff as appropriate.

Send reminders and time expectations for rent balances that are coming due and / or past-due.Track and maintain all residence hall and apartment keys and mailbox keys.

In conjunction with the Director, provide supervision and logistical support for front desk operations in each residential building.

Assist the Director and Residence Education Coordinator with scheduling meetings.Provide supervision to student workers and approve time as appropriate.

Assist with and process all department student worker employment paperwork.Facilitate maintenance concerns / reports through completion of work-orders and communication with Maintenance as appropriate.

Required Qualifications : Minimum of one year experience in an office assistant related position, or an equivalent combination of related experience.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals with diverse identities and backgrounds.

Ability to sensitively and compassionately assist with and navigate student and parent concerns.Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions using good judgment, tact and sensitivity and with proper treatment of confidential and sensitive informationAbility to remain organized and manage competing priorities.

Ability to use Microsoft Office products.Preferred Qualifications : Experience working with Maxient, Banner (Ellucian) Student Information System, and Microsoft Office systems.

Ability to demonstrate genuine empathy and care for students, their challenges, and their success.For full consideration application materials must be complete.
