Come join our team at Costa Colina, a comprehensive treatment program for women suffering from mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and other mental illnesses. At Costa Colina, we deliver individualized and holistic treatment which includes group and individual therapy sessions, art therapy, yoga, workouts with a personal trainer, an onsite chef, a large lap pool and Jacuzzi, as well as beach and movie theatre outings. Costa Colina delivers a comprehensive and coordinated multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. Costa Colina is a part of the Montage Recovery Solutions, LLC (MRS) family of companies. Job DescriptionEssential Functions:The Registered Nurse demonstrates proficiency by exhibiting the following skills and competencies as well as attitude.Understands own and team members scope of practice and escalates issues as appropriate.Demonstrates professional, supportive behavior.Champions new ideas.Utilizes communication strategies including chain of command and issue escalation, which result in intended outcomes.Participates in problem identification and resolution.Mentors, new employees and team members.Shares responsibility w/subordinates working as a team player.Demonstrates ability to problem solve.Complies w/ regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.Answers calls and performs pre-placement assessmentUpholds Costa Colina’s Policies and Procedures, Principles of responsibilities, and applicable state, federal and local lawsLeads and directs others through the change process.Knowledge of Bestnotes a plusNursing Process:Develops and/or contributes to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.Perform insurance verification screening on new patients.Ensures patient safety related but not limited to, medications and procedures.Ensures optimal pain control and patient comfort; identifies and discusses patient anxieties, fears or concerns regarding patient condition and treatment.Ensures that patient understands medication purpose, side effectsDocumentation:Assure charting is accurate, legible, dated, and timed.Documentation reflects nursing process and interventions and evaluations taken.Utilizes computer systems effectively and efficiently for optimal patient care.Discusses patient findings and progress toward outcomes w/ physicians and other members of the health care team.Demonstrates competencies during the probationary period and ongoing completion by departmental competency validation.Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of data, assessments, and evaluations of patient outcomes.Adherence to workplace safety principles and practices.Participates in departmental performance improvement activities, i.e., planning, measuring/monitoring, assessing, and improvingMaintains a safe environment for self and othersEnsures clean, orderly, and functional work environment. QualificationsQualifications:Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.Minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience preferredCurrent California Nursing LicenseCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support card.
