Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School is Hiring a Financial Aid and Program Support for Practical Nursing Near Fitchburg, MA

JOB GOAL:To efficiently administer Title IV financial aid and provide support for the operation of the Practical Nursing Program.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities specific to the Financial Aid Program:Completes day-to-day operations of administering the Title IV financial aid programs including but not limited to:•Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Federal and State guidelines governing financial aid programs; works closely with applicants/students providing financial aid info.•Administers Title IV Financial Aid to adult post-secondary students in the Practical Nursing Program with our third-party financial aid servicer.•Maintains required written policies and procedures in accordance with Title IV program regulations, processing student withdrawals on a timely basis.•Completes correspondence and compiles data for reports as directed.•Documents student eligibility criteria, determines eligibility and financial need, checks enrollment status, and reviews academic progress with the Director.Responsibilities specific to the Practical Nursing Program:•Assists with compliance of accreditation and regulatory bodies.•Keeps PN Website updated.•Coordinates entrance testing for the program.•Arranges orientation and graduation.•Arrange for other special program events e.g. Open House, School Visits, Info Sessions, and Job Fairs.•Respond to all inquiries for information about the Program via email, walk-ins, and phone.•Staff Attendance in PowerSchool.•Meeting minutes as scheduled.•Performs any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent-Director.General Office:•Establishes and maintains databases related to applicants, students, and faculty.•Orders and maintains supplies of standard office supplies and supplies specific to the program.•Interacts with other school departments to set up Building Use Requests, food service, work orders, etc. as needed.•Assesses and requests repairs as needed for all office equipment.•Maintains budget data (income and expense records).•Maintains general program files.•Screens mail; directs to appropriate faculty.•Responds to incoming calls and channels phone messages to the correct individual/s.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position may require long periods of standing and sitting. The individual may be exposed to ultraviolet lights as are found in computer monitors and copying equipment. The individual may be exposed to various hazards in the building. This position may require lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:This is a 12-month position, 37.5 hours per week.Evening hours as needed for faculty/advisory meetings, info sessions, and entrance testing.Fringe benefits will be in accordance with the Non-Union Personnel Benefit Policy. EVALUATION:Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the School Committee Policy.
