Monroe Truck Equipment is Hiring a Truck Equipment Installer/Builder Near Marshfield, WI

Job Title: Install Technician – Truck Equipment
Primary Function:
Perform any and all tasks related to inspecting, repairing, servicing, and building various types of light duty and/or heavy duty trucks. This requires the ability to work from prints and instructions as well as use mechanical aptitude to create solutions. This position is also responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Scope of Work:
Technicians will report to the Service Manager. Technicians perform a variety of tasks on light-duty and heavy-duty trucks from trouble shooting repairs to installing hydraulic, electrical, and truck equipment components. The position also involves metal working and fabrication during the upfit/build process. This position is also responsible for safely and efficiently completing tasks and working with others.
Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Build and assemble various truck components to specification per customer requirements.
2. Install and/or maintain all electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on assigned projects and builds.
3. Perform welding and fabrication tasks in order to build, modify, and follow specifications.
4. Maintain shop equipment for safe use in operation.
5. Test trucks to ensure they are in safe condition to return to customers.
6. Troubleshoot repairs and apply knowledge appropriately to determine a safe and efficient solution.
7. Complete repairs and replace malfunctioning parts to return working operation of truck components.
8. Work independently as well as in a production or team build system for fleet units.
9. Maintain advanced knowledge of truck build terminology.
10. Look for continuous ways of improving the overall operation and keep open communication with supervision.
11. Maintain smart and safe work practices at all times.
12. Communicate and work as a team player in the production process.
